This family of Tufted Coquette hummingbirds was carefully handcrafted and hand painted without the use of machines. The entire Humming bird family is made using , regular epoxy , paper and acrylic paints with a generous coating of transparent adhesive . The body of the birds are sculpted out of regular epoxy and the tail feathers, wing feathers and body feathers are made using pastel sheets. Each feather on the body of the bird is painstakingly cut to precision and glued on to the body. The humming birds are perched on two different branches, which are made out of epoxy and wire . The mother humming bird can be seen feeding it's fledglings , which are made out of epoxy. The nest was made using copper wire, epoxy, dry leaves & polyfill. This entire piece is attached to a teak wood base . The foliage is made using dry reindeer moss and leaves.

They are best placed inside a glass cabinet or dome.
Although protective coatings are applied to the bird avoid contact with water.
