Carefully handcrafted intricate paper sculptures of two Common Kingfishers shown in their mating ritual. The male is trying to please the female with it’s catch for the day, a small fish. The male is perched on a small piece of drift wood made out of paper Mache clay , pvc and wire, covered in hand dyed reindeer moss. The bodies of the Kingfishers are made using paper, wire and epoxy. Each feather has been carefully hand cut to precision and glued to the body. Thereafter which they have been painted realistically. The fish in the mouth of the Kingfisher is made out of epoxy and paper.
The entire piece took many weeks to complete and is sitting on fine teak.
